Answering the equipment questions that you have:
What Camera do you use Sony Digital Camera. We've gone through all the other Sony's (Mavica 81 [may 6th] and 85 [June 9th, Aug 1st, 19th, 30th] ) and finally settled on the Cybershot DCS-S70 (pictures and vids from there after) which has lasted 2.5 years, taken over 50,000 pictures total. The next gen of rttp cameras will most likely be a nikon d100 (the last 1/2 pictures from cannibal corpse 11-09-2002 were taken with this camera). In the end, you need a camera that you feel comforatable bring places where people are kicking and punching. How do you get pictures up the night of the show. RTTP uses an array of advanced array of Batch Automation tools that were developed just for rttp: filerenamer.exe: names all the files correctly, resizes, makes thumbnails. database.pl: builds all the database entries for rttp since everything is digital, I just hook the camera up after a show, run a couple programs and bang, updated! I want to do interviews and bootleg shows, what should I get? For High quality sound clips and interviews with bands, we've gone with a Sony mini disc RM-Z70 with the Sony stereo microphone. This whole unit is small enough to pack around you ball sac well enough to get it passed even Britney Spear's security. The mini-disc you use really dones matter, what matters here is the mic. I've tried a few shitty mics in the past, but this one is incredible. I've screamed straight into it and the level adjustment is 100% perfect. I've also been at a bar with friends and "accidentally" recorded the couple next to me talking about some nice things. What should I look for in a server for my own page? well, you want lots of space, rttp is about 2.5GB total. large band with, all of rttp does about 16 GB transfer per month php/mySQL: databases are easy and dynamic, great for webwork. ![]() NIKON D100 (dpreview page) Max resolution 3008 x 2000 Low resolution 2240 x 1488, 1504 x 1000 Image ratio w:h 3:2 Effective pixels 6.0 million Sensor photosites 6.31 million Sensor size 23.7 x 15.6 mm Sensor type CCD Colour filter array G-R-G-B Sensor manufacturer Unknown ISO rating Auto, 200 - 1600 Zoom wide (W) n/a Zoom tele (T) n/a Digital zoom No Auto Focus Yes Manual Focus Yes Auto focus accuracy Nikon AF (Multi-CAM900) Normal focus range n/a Macro focus range n/a White balance override Yes - 6 positions, plus manual preset Aperture range n/a Min shutter 30 sec + Bulb Max shutter 1/4000 sec Built-in Flash Yes, pop-up Flash guide no. 11 m (36 ft) m External flash Yes, hot-shoe Flash modes Front curtain, Rear curtain, Red-Eye, Slow, Red-Eye Slow Focal length multiplier 1.5 Exposure compensation -5EV to +5EV in 1/2 or 1/3 EV steps Metering 3D Matrix metering, Center weighted, Spot Aperture priority Yes, full range manual Shutter priority Yes, full range manual Lens thread Nikkor AF / F-mount, D-Type Continuous Drive Yes, 3 fps Movie Clips No Remote control Via optional vertical grip or software Tripod mount Yes Self-timer 2, 5, 10 or 20 sec Time-lapse recording No Storage types Compact Flash (Type I or II) Microdrive compatible Yes (MK II only) Storage included None Uncompressed format RAW, TIFF Compressed format JPEG (EXIF) Quality Levels Fine, Normal, Basic Viewfinder TTL LCD 1.8 " LCD Pixels 118,000 Playback zoom Yes Video out Yes, user-switchable USB Yes Firewire (IEEE 1394) No Serial No Battery / Charger Yes Battery Nikon EN-EL3 Lithium-Ion & charger included Weight (inc. batteries) 780 g (27.5 oz) Dimensions 144 x 116 x 81 mm (5.7 x 4.6 x 3.2 in) Notes D-SLR, Body only (no lens) lens
