I guess I missed two bands. one sounded like opeth and one was nu-metal from what I heard. the club is more like a multi-function hall with lots of le crazy le crap on the walls. it also has a bar which added a little "spice" to band's performances.

hatred alive: yeah! they announced that they were playing live on my show. these guys were the only "death metal" band on the show. they kept saying stuff about themselves sucking and how people usually leave after song of theirs.. which I for one have never seen before.

nobis: no what I was expecting from the name. I honestly coulding begin to talk about their music cause it was nu-metal and it's not something that I like. On a side note, someone look at the guitarist's axe. is that a good one? I have no idea, but it looked pretty. It was during their set that I noticed how low the guitars were and how loud the vocals were.

screams of erida: they definitely were "spiced" up from the bar. I have no idea how they are going to fit into WUNH when the time comes. they rocked and the crowd moved around for a bit.

amaranthus: WTF! no keyboard player?!? minus 20 fucking points. they still played the same songs, but.. I can't get over there not being a kid playing COB-esque cheesey synths... oh well, they are getting a new guy to play keys for them today I think.

your funeral: melodic-metal influenced hardcore. there was a bunch of chord-running parts ala BDM or AILD. This was their first show. The singers voice is still too dry. Reminds me of Matt BYD when he first started to sing. it will be better with some time.

hang em high: Remeber when BYD had like 20 guitarists and their sound was just massive? I'm talking like Dec 2002 time. well, that's what they sounded like. the vocals sounded more like matt's (byd) mixed with some dark tranquillity vocals. more people did the mush dance around the room.

over the top: they came out and ruled. the whole time jumping and people moved/sang along. They covered the same integrity song that they did at New Directions (systems overload). I like the minor threat-style talk in on one of their songs too.
