And, not to play a show because hardcore/metalcore kids are there is just retarded and pretentious.
it's not that at all. but you know after a while you get tired of wasting your time trying to put on a good show for people who just don't give a shit. after a while you can usually tell whats going to be a good show and what's going to be a waste of time. and most of the kids at that show clearly didn't give a shit. it just so happens that they were "metalcore" kids. it just so happens that they usually are.
and to anonymous, yeah i know you have to play with other bands and other styles. no shit. i love and play all sorts of music. i loved seeing and playing with a lot of the different bands we've played with. what i don't love is people who go to shows because it's cool. or to show off their sickest new dance move, or new pants or hair or to see their friends band and then leave, or whatever the fuckever else. i am totally in it for the music dude, and that's exactly why we left that show. like i said i appreciate what sean did, and the people that were actually there to see a show. we didn't see much in the way of people who were stoked about a show, or about checking out some new bands. it really didn't seem worth the effort. call it pretentious, but i have bigger fish to fry.
and for the record, brendan did have a migraine.
and i was also kidding about the breakdown thing. sort of. ;)
peas out bitches,
