defcon 4 : this set was a lot less of a spectable from the last show that I was at. there wasn't any blood at all. I don't know why, but it seemed like they were looking at robin a lot about playing more songs or stopping. It probably had something to do with the time that they started and all the other bands that had to get on. It's also probably better that they didn't put on the "normal" stage show cause they would have had to clean the blood prints off the wall.

coliseum: I was sort of expecting the second coming of christ, but they weren't that amazing. they were really good though. people in the audience started to get into the sets by this point. I expected a little bit more anodyne and a lot less straight up rock.

municipal waste: wow... they audience went nuts for them. lots of people jumping off the stage and rolling backwards over people. I was totally happy with the security there. they stopped people from doing mega-retarded things, but for the most part let MW fans do what they wanted. I seriously thought it was going to get shut down right then and there. their songs were pretty good. punky, short and sweet. I thought that people said they were like motorhead... I must have misheard.

hirax: when they started off, I looked at the mile long set list and thought to myself "I'm leaving in 5 songs". an hour later and I was still there waiting for their encour. they completely ruled. starting right off, they played like metal gods, but were still insanely humble. everyone was thrashing around, headbanging, and having a beer time. er.. great time. I thought that a lot of people in the crowd (from the municipal waste) would have left before hirax came on, but they didn't. 80% of the house stayed til the end. this is what metal is all about.
