adolf satan: they were late, really late and almost didn't get to play. Since the first (and only) time I saw them, I think they have gotten a lot tighter music-wise (also, I think that time seth putnam did drums on a couple songs). Also, the sound was really good tonight at DeeDee's so unlike at the chopping block, larrylifeless's typically annoying vocals were mixed into the music. that's how it is on the CD and made them sound a lot better. I also think it helps that the band members weren't fall down drunk... granted larry did fall down with in 10 seconds of the start of the set... and was mostlikely drunk, but we'll over look this.

noosebomb: I think I've heard them play a lot better throughout their set than this time. it wasn't until the last song that they seemed to come together. before that it seemed like they were just speeding through the songs to get as many in within their time limit. also, the skullet was not in effect... sad...

yob: they were 100 times better than I thought they would be. I've heard the CD a few times and there are a lot of interesting parts to it, but on a whole I space out after 7 minutes of a 13 minute track. Live was a different story. I was very into their whole set and didn't find myself spacing out at all. And yes, the lead singer has been told 234234@$2342342456666 times that he looks like jon jenin. They had a vox processor which would have been cool if you could have heard it. but alas, you couldnt.

the hidden hand: I have never heard of this band before. which I find terribly weird since there was at least one person there with a THH tattoo... and the lead guitarist had a lifetimes collection of pedals and other things that make whatever you put through them sound weird. they were pretty good. I mean, they played awesomely for what they did, but a lot of it was way too 70's rock for me. the parts that I give a thumbs up to sounded a lot more like high on fire than anything else.
