continued without a finding: I ran in and caught the tail end of their set. great as always. brian (watchmaker) took up his spot in the front of the stage during their set and stayed there the whole night. tom's guitar was a bit too loud. but oh well. I don't thin I ever got one of those CWAF cds.

ocean: they had some issues during their set with one of the guitars, but it was ok. the guitars went out of the song, then the bass, and then it was just slow drums. a little tuning and then every one came back in, crashing like a tsunami from this ocean.

lair of the minotaur: I had been hearing such a huge hype about this band for how long? Well, I must admit that I confused them with articles that I read about mouth of the architect... so... I was expecting something completely different. with that said, their set was awesome. it reminded me of superchrist a little with a tiny bit of a motorhead influence on the vocals. they were a lot more metal that I was thinking. The crowd started to get a little crazy.. sort of a little bit of a foreshadowing of what was coming.

watchmaker: this was the most violently moving crowd that I've ever seen at this venue. Their shear wall of noise from other venues seemed tempered down a bit. You could actually hear a lot of what they were playing. The crowd got really rocking, pushing and shoving. as the set went on, they began throwing people from the crowd towards the saw, knocking the PAs over. I quickly grabbed one of them before it hit the ground. Jon kevorkian and his fiancee played line-backers in from of someone's bass-cab which lead to the "pitch of death" from the crowd towards the saw. Their send ended in a totally chaotic version of rain in blood.
I think the blood count from the saw was only from the crowd. the randomshot is of mike (hirudinea) getting pitched into the saw. the only other people I saw take it was some tall dude and the mad russian, serge who took it to the head a couple of times, but never stopped headbanging... not once.
