lili brigadera: they were pretty good. it reminded me of blonde a bit. the girl singer sung in a bassier voice. a lot of the songs had that irish bar song/sea shanty sound to them like some of the drop kick murphy's.

chloroform kidz: more of the xray specs side of girl fronted punk. the guitar play played punk like and old school metalhead. he put in a bunch of parts that were just out there good riffs, but played them effortlessly. the drummer's kit looked like he was missing a bunch of parts to it... also he looked like he was holding back.

stu mac and clive: I can totally see the infecteous grooves comment on them. some of the bass work reminded me of primus. I would say they were "blue influenced metal". the drummer from the last band put a bunch of more things onto his drum set and played with this band. he was able to let go a lot more. they had a lot of heavey parts, but I wasn't down with the singing and a lot of the "non-metal" parts. they looked like they were just having fun though.

these nightmares: they were a rap-metal band. I didn't like them so I snapped a few pictures and then sat down.

downfall: I thought for a band that was playing their first real show, they played really good. there were a lot of parts where the vocals just wouldn't go with something. as soon as they got the second guitar player out, the vocals meshed back better with the music. to tell you the truth, I'm glad there is now a local band that the latino metalheads will come to see. they always come out in a huge group so if will be great to have them out at more shows. i can see a downfall/porphyria/hatchet show at some point.

hekseri: they went on like 10 minutes before the venue normally cuts bands off. they did indeed rule. the set was very rushed, but they still played awesome. good cause larissa and jason were sick. they were definitely the sickest band on the bill. I have been humming "lay down your soul to the gods rocknroll". megan does in fact channel the great kat while playing. this is very disturbing to the great kay since she's not dead yet. larissa's V dean rules. I noticed that seth was playing more like his ascendancy days. maybe I just haven't gotten close to him playing in this band yet, but it sounded like he was playing faster and putting in a low more ascendancy-esque blasts.
