within choking range: this was my second time seeing them. it seemed like there were plenty of people there that were into them, but no one really moved. I think most people were thrown off by the NO MOSHING sign. on stage, they had a lot of energy. There are some parts of the singing that I don’t like, but everyone knows I’m hard on clean vocals. They are a little different, sounding influenced by phil (pantera). I got a CD from them.. but I haven't listened to it yet.

the niaea room: People started to move around a bit more during their set. A lot of those people were the ex-DwD guys. I don't think that they were nearly as drunk as they were the last time I saw them. Te new stuff that they were playing sounded a lot less like knife fight then the CD that I have. There is basically none of the singing from the ep. I think I only recognized one part of one song that I heard on the ep.

frozen: It seemed like a lot of the people where there just to see them. The room was packed all the way back passed the bar. i really wanted to see this band since I listening to the ep I got at a cannae show. So it’s very understable. Well, that and the fact that the band does like no shows. the ep is a lot more doom then they were live. I heard they have a new CD, but I haven't seen/heard it yet. Live, it was more like nevermore with out the queensryche singing. The band features one of the guitarists from blistered earth on keyboards. They covered the song jump at the end of their set. It sounded awesome. Totally cheesy synths and all. The one thing it was missing was the david lee roth jump. The singer need some lessons on that. May I suggest that he talks to tim from porphyria

cannae: Adam wins the award for the drunkest person on the stage that night. It was a special night. The newer guitarist’s birthday was this day. He got a pitch of his own on stage. The mic was cutting out so the wire to it had to be changed. I think it was during their set. When ever it was, I’m glad that I was watching the sound guy change it cause I had to plug the mic chord back in when it came out, saving the day. The crowd moved around during their songs and continually knocked one of the guys from the nicaea room over the monitors. I think you can see his feet up in the air in one of the shots.

decent within: so cannae was on the way out. I packed up all the stuff I had and ran out to the door, but some kids were carrying their equipment. I guess they were playing after. So I unpacked and shot a few pictures. They were sort of kse influenced hardcore. After snapping some shots, I was out.
