Well that was unpleasant.

And any idiot knows that you can not torture, because it's completely inaffective. A prisoner under extreme torture will tell you anything you want to hear to make it stop, thus making the information unrealiable and negating the entire practice. John McCain told his captors the names of some football team instead of his commanders. It doesn't work and casting aside the Geneva convention will come back to bite our soldiers in the ass. The muslim fundamentalist assholes may not abide by the Geneva convention, but right now, a lot of countries do and we can't expect them to abide by a law that protects OUR guys if we don't do it ourselves. You're a fucking idiot if you don't realize this. That isn't partisan, it's just common sense.

The particular disgrace with Abu Ghraib is that the majority of the prisoners were taken without reason, proof or just cause. They were taken for having knives in their home. If that makes you a terrorist, than arrest me. For everyone one tortured terrorist in there (who personally, I feel no pity for, fuck em) there were 9 innocent people being tortured for information they didn't have.

That's our bad, the governments bad, and if being pissed about that makes someone a whining pussy, than so be it. But I'd rather be a pussy than ignorant.
