The figures nice too. Aldar and figured are very bassey woods, though especially when mixed with the carbon fiber neck. Aldar is relatively cheap. I'm pretty sure they have one of these at Matts music in weymouth. go check it out. Don't buy it from there though, Matt Leff is a tool. I know they have a few quantum fives. Personally, for that kindof money I would just have a custom shop built. if that weren't a carbon fiber neck, I'm sure you'd only be looking at a 1000-1500$ cnc bass
