nothing is wrong with success, people don't have a problem with hatebreed being successful, people are just tired of hearing the same old shit from them and 100000 other bands that sound just like them. granted every style has that same problem, but they don't have threads on this board at the moment haha.

nu metal and metalcore didn't help metal evolve, they de-evolved it if anything. granted any style can have bands that do the style well (i haven't thought of any nu metal bands but all that remains is metalcore and a good band musically) but for the most part, nu metal and metalcore across the board created this army of cookie cutter bands that all sounded exactly the same... tune your guitar down to C#(no higher, no lower!), have lots of open string chugging, tough guy verses, clean melodic chorus' (usually with a scream doubling all the lyrics behind it), rinse, repeat, breakdown, goodbye. where is the evolution in that?

you said something about new styles, but hatebreed is most certainly not a new style. its the same old shit that was tired 10 years ago.

finally, not everybody is going to like what you like. black label society is my favorite band but probably one of the most hated on these boards, i don't care, BLS is a band i listen to because i like them, i don't need the rest of this board to back me up and say they are cool for me to enjoy them any more or less. if you love hatebreed, thats fine, there is nothing wrong with liking whatever band you want, just don't expect people on this board here to go and back you when you post something that looks like a fanboy rant for them.
