The Accursed was awesome. The End.

are you from worcester or did you not stick around for zircon?

here's my review:

Aura of Aquila: I only caught the first half of their set because I had to run back to the apartment to take care of some business that ended up falling through, but I enjoyed what I saw immensely. If I were to label them as anything it would be "Black Metalcore." Placing those two words together made me gag a little bit, but it's the best way to describe how they sound.

Nocturnum: I caught the last few songs of their set upon my return. I wsih I saw their whole set as I think the songs I did catch didn't really sum up everything they do. Very synth-based and doomy. From what I saw it's like Dimmu meets Type O meets Arsis meets Soilwork. They had the biggest crowd of the night, which seemed to disappear the second they were done. I was kind of upset by that considering the quality of the two bands coming up after them.

The Accursed: They slayed as always. I enjoy them more and more everytime I see them.(Am I crazy or was Loki leaving the band at some point?) Anyhow, they ran through their songs fairly quick but were spot-on for the whole set. Jon pulled Pam up for the second to last song and they were trading lines back and forth, which I think threw some "unfamiliars" off but in a good way since they weren't expecting that kind of voice from her at all. I would say I like them the best of the night if I didn't soil myself everytime I see Zircon.

Zircon: Sounded awesome as always. There were some points in between songs where they seemed kind of lost but alcohol will do that after 4 hours. It wasn't one of their best performances, and the crowd was a lot smaller when compared to last month, but they still played awesome and rocked out as hard as they would for 300 people. I was absolutely shitfaced by this point.
