Vocals are very similar to other bands from their home area like F.U.C.T., early Today is the Day (2 of the Mastodon guys were in TITD and Lethargy at one point) with a touch of early splattercore like old C.O.C., etc. Their conceptual style for lyrics and artwork theme is a marriage of prehistoric imagery, psychedelia, mythology, and various forces of nature. Their lyrics are heavily influenced by Neurosis, although their music is in a way very busy, and thus the antithesis of Neurosis.
