His characters and personas are always total bastards and the fact that he can hold up to it in real life is amazing. I was less than blown away by his work on The Man Show, but he was priceless on News Radio. I've never met anyone who thought Carlos Mencia was funny. Never. Not one person. I don't think I've ever watched more than 5 minutes of his show without saying "What the hell does this asshole think he's doing?" With all the trite racial observations he makes I'm pretty sure anyone "Mexican" or not could write material for him. And I'm really glad someone mentioned Louie CK. That guy is hysterical and incredibly under rated. Dane Cook can kiss my ass. A friend of mine tried to get me into Cook. He went to see the guy like 3 nights in a row at one point. I asked him what kind of material he did, and if how the hell he found the same shit funny 3 nights in a row. He said "I dunno, I was drunk. All I remember is laughing."
