Godflesh - Streetcleaner

i just saw this, are you a Godflesh fan, or just starting out? either way that is one of their top best albums, and definitely a good place to start if thats the case. this weird dude i worked with gave me a copy of Streetcleaner when i was like 15 or 16, and my worshipping of Broadrick work began.

I'm actually just getting into them - I used to have a tape of Streetcleaner like 3-4 years ago but I didn't listen to it much and gave it to a friend who liked them more than I did. A few weeks ago I figured to give it another shot and I love it; I downloaded the 1988 self titled e.p. and I like that one a lot as well....I haven't really checked out anything else yet.

By the way, did I meet you at a Dark Lotus show a few years ago? I think you were wearing a Mortician shirt, and I remember you commenting on my Impaled hoodie and telling me you had a band called Sacreligion.

whoa, that was definitely me. i cant believe you remember that, that must have been in 01 or so. damn. thats awesome. well if Godflesh interests you, there isnt a bad album you can get. they are one of my top 5 favorite bands. pick up Pure and Songs of Love and Hate, those two are amazing. Pure follows the Streetcleaner pounding sludge, but Songs of Love and Hate follows a more guitar and vocal harmony route. they are vastly different but equally amazing.
