The organizers for this year’s Maryland Deathfest, which will take place from Friday, May 23rd to Sunday, May 25th, at the Sonar in Baltimore, MD, have issued the following update:

“MDF 2008 tickets are now available to order and pick up at will call. We will no longer be mailing any orders received between now and the fest and you can pick up your tickets at the front entrance of the venue. Just bring along your receipt of purchase and you’re all set. Order tickets here.

SUBLIME CADAVERIC DECOMPOSITION were forced to cancel their apperance at MDF 2008 as they were sent back to France from Canada. We will not be replacing them with anyone and doors will now open at 12:30 PM on Sunday, May 25th with the first band on at 1:05 PM. We figured most of you will be hungover and tired at this time anyway, so we wanted to be nice guys and let you sleep a bit longer. This means you shouldn’t e-mail us about playing, nor e-mail us about playing next year as that is the last thing we are focused on at the moment.

Food at MDF: This year we have a permit to close off the street in front of Sonar which will allow us to have food vendors set up there. There will be a variety of food available in front of the venue this year, including vegetarian options.”

Bands set to perform at this year’s festival include NUCLEAR ASSAULT, ANAAL NATHRAKH, GRAVE, REPULSION, BLOOD DUSTER, MONSTROSITY, MACABRE, DYING FETUS, MARTYR, IMPALED, FUCK…I’M DEAD, PHOBIA, SQUASH BOWELS, DISFEAR, COFFINS, DEAD, THE DAY EVERYTHING BECAME NOTHING, GHOUL, BEHOLD…THE ARCTOPUS, DEFEATED SANITY, TORSOFUCK, INGROWING, GRUESOME STUFF RELISH, CIRCLE OF DEAD CHILDREN, ENGORGED, GADGET, FLESH PARADE, HELLNATION, AFGRUND, DEFEATIST and more.
