no. the people own the government. the government doesn't own the people. we pay taxes, and the government provides us with things, like roads and schools and subpar free cheese.

no. there is no law requiring any private citizen to pay income tax, which is the only thing that'll get you nailed for evasion. it's a fact, look it up. although, in reality, yes people do get locked up for it.
