Something that should be considered unnecessary considering there were already 4-5 cops on him. It was a display of power, not a needed use of force to detain a suspect. If 4 cops can't kneel on one teenager and put him in cuffs with ease, then they shouldn't be working as cops. What's ironic is that the (needlessly) escalated response was probably only because the whole thing was televised and high-profile, and they were super anxious to keep up appearances. That sure worked out.
