Holy shit, right? I used to seriously love that game; don't know how I forgot it. Beating that was probably the crowning achievement of my life. God. I suck.

How about Legacy of the Wizard? Sorta along the same lines, but where you controlled the whole family, one at a time (including the dog)? I don't know how anyone ever beat that game; there were so many places where only one family member or another could pass, so you had to go all the way back to the first screen to go get them, and then figure out where you were, only the family member you're controlling now can't pass some other thing you had to pass to get there in the first place, and then you throw the cartridge at your neighbor's dog so hard that it can't see out of one eye anymore, and you have to stay at home when everyone else gets soft-serve.

You remember all that, right?
