By the time I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, I was already 18 and it was mild by then. I don't really think about it anymore. I don't like telling other people that I was diagnosed with something because I really just don't think it matters. At this point in my life I've had other people hear that I was diagnosed with AS and not believe it. Back in my childhood I had it really bad and my mom kept taking me to doctors who kept telling her "No no, he's fine" because they were only diagnosing full blown autism at that point in time. In any case, while I still generally don't like talking to people too much, I guess I am normal by now. For the most part anyway.
