Has anyone seen this yet? I gave it a shot just for the hell of it, but this is easily the single worst fighting show yet. The premise is just like Ultimate Fighter except there are 4 teams, and 99% of the dudes are black. The teams are captained by Ludacris, Lil John, Nelly, and (for whatever reason) Floyd Mayweather (he's still the man in my book, but he's developing a bad habit of bringing himself down through shitty TV). Basically the formula for this show is to take all the annoying banter, and dicking around of the UFC and stretch it out over an entire half hour program (and that's another thing, what other shows do you see like this that are still working in half hour formats??) The production of this show is so stale, and boring you can go a solid ten minutes without anything even remotely interesting happening. You can go a solid 5 minutes without even understanding what's going on. It's just line after line of "You know how we do, we knockin cats out son, we knockin cats out son, we knockin cats out son, we knockin cats out son...." copy paste paste paste paste.

The one minimally interesting plot I've seen in the whole thing happened within the first 2 days of the whole process of the show, and still took 3 or 4 episodes to get to. The teams were picked in one of the cities, and this random white dude started flipping out that he didn't get picked (I guess he was undefeated). So they set it up that if he fought this black dude who was picked, and won he'd be on the team. So they fight, the white dude pulls out a victory in half a round, and he gets on the team. That'd be pretty cool if 2 weeks later Ultimate Fighter didn't have 32 guys fight right off the bat to get onto a team.

What a terrible show. But I guess it's necessary given how under represented black dudes have been.....in....professional........fighting?
