No credible promoters make you sell tickets. It's a show not a raffle. This show isn't even making bands sell tickets so there goes that right off the bat. I play NYC all the time. I've never had to deal with a bad promoter. In fact I played an awesome show last summer in Brooklyn that a 17 year old kid booked. The turnout was great. The show was insane, and all the bands made out well. It just goes to show that it takes way more effort to be a shitty promoter than a good one, which is why it's so necessary to make fun of them when they pop up.
