As far as the oil, I'm sure it's some kind of preservative. I'd argue against powerkoks statement of the value of the guitar being sanded off. It's like they say, to each their own. I think this guitar looks better and probably sounds better because of the paint being stripped off. Never-the-less, this guitar is one of the sickest looking I've ever seen. Nice job man.
