I don't see any reason why both groups of people can't learn both languages.

forcing us to learn their languange is infringing on our freedom and way of life.
it should be like every other country, you learn their language, or you do not live there
ZERO TOLERANCE

I am sorry to tell you bud but that is not the way it is in other countries. In most other industrialized countries people are forced to learn more than their native language otherwise they won't graduate high school. The same that it is here for kids learning spanish. And the reason it's not infringing on our freedoms, or ways of life is because our government doesn't really force anyone to learn anything, they have regulations on what classes people need to complete before they graduate highschool, and part of that is foreign language. So you will never be forced to learn anything, unless your going back to school. And personally, i like that. I think that while children from MOST other countries are bi-lingual, it would be smart to make sure ours can keep up. We might not be the capitolist wetdream that we are now forever, some day our children might need to travel to handle business/get away from some situation here, and when that happens wouln't you have their education be as comprehensive as that of other countries? And the only real differnce between us and those countries is that their are some (a very select few) who DO require even adults to learn the main language, or they will kick them out. Which if you ask me, is infringing on their rights.
