full blown chaos: they sounded so good up there. the vocals were missing the low ends, but still it sounded great. their almost constant touring and hitting shows like the SFU tour seems to have done them a lot of good. they played a few songs that will be on the full length when it comes out.

walls of jericho: definitely the band that stole the show for me. their power and stage presents is nothing short of amazing. it never ceases to amazing me how they turn a under 2 minute song (on CD) into something epic live. I guess the lead singer had a broken nose, but you couldn't tell at all. looked normal, but I'm no doctor.

blood has been shed: stole the style award. howard (singer) definitely knows how to keep an audience entertain even when the music isn't playing. His little "25 ta life" inpersonation was pretty dead on too. He gave out adam d's e-mail address for people so flood him.. I'll give you a hint.. adamd_ _ _@hotmail.com. it's a very metal address. It's cool that a new generation that got into something more "accessible" like killswitch engage is not coming over to shows like bhbs. it will be nothing but good for shows (new blood+new people to buy tickets + the bands to sell CDs to). the crowd there was pretty full of new faces. I'm sure they will be dancing like assholes soon enough.

god forbid: I swear, these guys get more and more metal each time I see them. I think that the next time they are going to come out like metal gods slayer. I did notice that a lot of the older god forbid songs that they played had rhythms that were very slayer derived. They even busted into angel of death for a minute. One great thing about god forbid is that they pull "hardcore kids" towards metal since they have breakdowns you can dance to. Always a plus to make people's music tastes more diverse.
