I actually posted this specifically because I was interested in his response, maybe he'll show up. The problem with railing against liberalism in America today is that if we revert to a more hands-off governing style we'll probably fall behind the rest of the world. China and the EU both have massive support for commerce and industry from the government which gives them an advantage. More than just industry we're falling behind in funding for science and technology which are going to be the cornerstone of the dominant empire for the 21st century. And personally I'd like to see America continue to be the world leader in science and culture as well as the military.
