I'm back.. but my net connection is f'd up again.
arg!

cujo: his laptop was broken so instead, he just spun some digital hardcore. I like dh, but I've been out of that form of music for a while. it wasn't like nyc speedcore or french... but it sounded like the stuff that influenced alec empire and the dhr movement, you know, stuff from germany.

summit: they had a lot of good trash parts that really ripped. I also believe in one of the mesage they gave about girls "dying to be thin". I'm really hard on clean vocals so most of them did nothing for me. they weren't suppose to be the first band to plaay.. but things happen.

ascendancy: Was hoping they could go on later in the day, but it didn't happen. they had a sizable crowd (though if you notice there are a lot of people outside smoking instead of enjoying the onslaught. Note: smoking is worse than clubbing baby seals.) the hall was a little to open for their sound to come off well. too much room for echos. sucks when you cna be technically great and be defeated by a room.

marybeth: someone showed up late... they were suppose to be on first, but they showed late so they went on later. they sounded better this time. I think they are coming together better as a whole. the singing sound like he was trying to be Angel (ex. all my sins) one minute and joey (in dire need) the next. it sort of came out like a zao-ish dry scream.

arsonata: man, talk about the room defeating your sound. these guys had so many interesting riffs at last wednesday's show, but this time, all the reverb off the walls made it so you couldn't tell anything apart. turning all the melodic parts in just jug-jugs and break downs. for their "last show" this fell short. I think they shouldplay some place with a better sound set up and then call it quits.

legia: featuring ginni (ex. light is the language) on bass, this band rocked. I like them a lot, even the "clean" singing parts. it reminded me a little of since the flood if they did a metalcore band. the singer made crazy faces too.

terminally, your aborted ghost: probably the best performer and best crowd response of the night. you could tell the audience was both blown away and confused all at once. they played pretty tight (though they might disagree). I'm sure they picked up some new fans here.

held under: their crowd response was next to nothing. tt seems the people in the house didn't want to listen to some metalgeads playing. At this point, I was starting to feel very sick from all the smoke and wanted to sit down. I got up in their grills to get a few shots though. they reminded me a bit of shadows fall.

what weapons bring war: they set seemed very very short. they played pretty intensely. their was no bass-throwing or massive injuries. the rossrossity was set at 11 I think.

fight night: a quick set from them. they "swear to god" that they will have a bassplayer next show.. I don't know if that is a hint that we are suppose to pick up on...
