Grind is equal parts punk and metal. So asking why grind songs are so short is like asking why punk songs are so short. It's just about blowing your load in a quick burst of aggression and being done with it. I've heard people make the argument to me before that short songs like this have no content. I tell those people I disagree, the songs simply have no filler, and the content is played at a much faster pace.
