Fuck, this bothers the hell out of me... It really does feel like the set up to something big and really fucking ugly...

Even if it's not the precursor to more attacks on US soil or an upsurge in the legal attack on those who question the Wall St./Langley/Pentagon Official Conspiracy Theory of 9/11 (thought-crime laws are far too close for comfort these days), this is The Big Lie in action and it's repulsive. I see a lot less reason to believe this than reports of OBL's demise on or around Dec. 13 '01. Alex Jones is a prick, but he might be right about the freezing scenario, if the National Security State even plans to trot out any alleged remains. In the current climate of mass mind-control and propaganda, the need for consistent, believable proof for the public has become mostly unnecessary. Millions of USAns continue to believe Hussein and Bin Laden were in league together after all; the burden of proof for all official National Security State proclamations in the mainstream political dialogue makes the Salem witch trials look like meticulous, scientific investigation.

We are only about 4 months from the 10th anniversary of the attacks and momentum against the official story has dwindled a fair deal on a political level, but on the level of mass-consciousness, the momentum has pretty steadily increased, pretty much consistently since the congressional whitewash committee released its report. Even if, as I said, this isn't the precursor to any particular violence or repression, the "Global War On Terror" goes on, regardless of what Obama calls it, and the Official Conspiracy Theory is obviously in need of a serious bolstering. In these trying economic times, it's important that the American bloodlust be stoked sufficiently to insure that congress doesn't accidentally trim too much of the War... excuse me, Defense (!) budget in the "austerity" process. Two Minutes Hate, and all that...
