ITT: shadowsd believes everything he hears on fox news.

Actually, the right-wing news outlets are putting out headlines that say "Bin Laden killed, says President", the latter half implying that there's still skepticism about it. The fact is they just can't bear to admit that their arch enemy killed their white whale. In a way, it's as hard for them to fit into their world view to accept as him being President.

But it's interesting you said that, because when I wrote my last post I was actually thinking of Fox News as an example of why leaving so many witnesses to blab is begging for a giant intelligence fail: back when the country Georgia was at war with a small region in the area, and the Russians were defending the little guys, McCain/Republicans/Fox/The Usual Suspects were talking about how we should go in militarily and help the poor helpless Georgians, so they brought on this wife and daughter from over there on Fox News to talk about how awful the Russians were. Instead, they told the anchor exactly the opposite of where his questions were leading, and the segment made an ass of the network and all the hawks. People always talk, eventually, if enough of them know something, media is EVERYWHERE now between TV and Internet, and I can't see that kind of sloppiness being used in something - the death of Bin Laden - that will be perceived (rightly or wrongly) as pivotal to people around the world.
