1. Bruins allowed 7 goals in 7 full games to the team that led the NHL in scoring. Thomas was simply outstanding, best post-season goaltending since Roy in 93. But the TEAM defense was smothering. Seidenberg was immense and McQuaid grew up a lot this year. Ference had that big goal against Montreal and Boychuck was a force on both ends.

2. Total balance. Every single forward played a part in winning these games. Peverly, Kelly and Ryder ruled round #1. Krejci's line took over the second series and all 4 lines contributed to the TB/Canuck wins. Game 7 vs. TB was the best defensive game I ever saw a hockey team play.

3. Penalty killing was off the charts. Paille and Campbell were channeling Dave Poulin and Dave Reid out there. The Bruins scored 4 short-handed goals in The Finals while Vancouver's PP scored 2!

4. Patrice Bergeron cemented himself as a top tier 2-way forward in the mold of Stevie Yzerman. He embarrassed most of the top centers in the faceoff circle in all 4 series', killed penalties, scored goals in the biggest games and fought through a concussion to only miss 2 games. He will win the Selke trophy soon.

5. They are young. Bergeron, Seguin, Horton, Krejci, Lucic, Boychuck, McQuaid and Rask are all under 26! Thomas is 37 but has low *mileage* since he's only been starting for like 4 years.
