Original aril was described as a powerful and humanoid from the planet Gallifrey, from which aril was a renegade; details beyond this are relatively murky. He later joined the new england black metal "scene" and cultivated many relationships with black metallers across the universe, both online and IRL. He is considered one of the oldest and most technologically advanced aril in the black metal-verse, albeit preferring to live outside of metropolis areas due to fiscal and stylistic purposes. Over subsequent histories, his development of time manipulation and rituals were uncovered, with his self-created society portrayed as a stagnated ceremony-bound oligarchy, owing its past to myth and legend. Aril became at times an ally, for example when he hung out that one fucking time with alx_casket during his fourth incarnation and offering niceties on several occasions. In 1997 during the 4th wave of arilliusbm, there was murmuring of black metal no longer being real, having been destroyed by aril at some intervening point during the Last Great Black Metal War in which aril became corrupted and willing to sacrifice the entirety of time and space to save himself. Aril made a subsequent return in 2000 as an internet troll who schemed to escape the resulting dimensional lock to resume his plan, as well as appear the most true and grim (pictured below) of individual arils as the commonly known arilliusbm, and at times, inadvertent human-time lord hybrid. An instance of the latter occurred during the great rttp poop debate of 2003, in which a Hoser post enraged aril into transphorming into an astral projection, later warning anons that if he is disturbed while doing so, his mind could become severed from his body and he could die. The focus of psychic energy granted aril the ability to de-age himself, float through the air, and telekinetically disconnect the OP while surrounded in a powerful blue glow.

Aril has the ability to regenerate his form when his current body is mortally wounded. This process results in his body undergoing a transformation, gaining a new physical form. Regenerations can be traumatic events. In 2008, aril required the use of a Zero Room, a chamber shielded from the outside universe that provides an area of calm for him to recuperate. He comments that there is an excellent polygonal zero room beneath the junior senate block on Gallifrey. Aril's personality also sometimes goes through a period of instability following a regeneration, resulting in confusing logic and circular arguments. In cases of non-fatal injury, recently regenerated arils can use leftover cellular energy to heal and even regrow severed limbs, as seen during the 73rd Inquisition show of 2012 in Massachusetts when aril got bored and attempted to restart the universe to see an OP's IP address.
