When the original Metroid came out people were blown away. My friend's dad hand drew maps of the game and them littered around their house. When super metroid came out, everyone loved it for the same reasons, but it also went with the times. SNES waa a far superior system than NES and they utilized the technology. Both games are great, but I guess in FAIRNESS I WILL SAY BOTH ARE RESPECTABLE GAMES IN THEIR OWN RIGHT BUT METROID II IS DARKER
