Expect about 450 more "mother fuckers" to be said on the court.
But come to think of it, we've got Perkins and Sheed now.. the refs are going to hate the Celtics.

Should be a good short-term deal; we've got a big man (kind of - 6'11') that can be a threat down low and up top shooting threes.

The Globe and Herald also state we're trying to sign Grant Hill.

Should already be a great season next year.

the new Celtics are going to be like the NBA JAM all stars

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jul 6,2009 9:59am
fuck them for letting baby walk :(

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jul 6,2009 10:02am
not confirmed yet. they'll probably try to match any offers they get for him, but I have a feeling we'll let him go

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jul 6,2009 10:03am
baby will be gone, and leon's gone too. i think they would've tried to keep leon if his knee wasn't destroyed.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jul 6,2009 10:08am
sucks leon's gone.

i think the majority of the country will hate boston sports even more now because of the sheed signing, red sox winning, patriots most likely dominating this season, and bruins snagging some arguable trophies recently

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jul 6,2009 10:10am
the only hockey trophy that matters is stanley.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jul 6,2009 10:10am
that's not a trophy. it's a cup.

pwnt

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jul 6,2009 10:18am
the cup is a trophy

p0rnt

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jul 6,2009 10:20am
too bad we won't see the B's hoist the cup above their heads in our lifetime.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jul 6,2009 10:22am
i'd trade every other boston championship for one cup in my lifetime. it's all i need to die a happy sports fan.

I would have said the same about a 19-0 Patriots season.

toggletoggle post by My_Dying_Bride at Jul 6,2009 10:26am
baby sucks, he was just all we had up front that made him look better than he is. wallace needs to be disciplined or its a chemistry meltdown. grant hill is a bag of bones. Garnett is all that matters for next season. i cant wait for football

toggletoggle post by tylor  at Jul 6,2009 10:27am
i actually dont know about wanting to see all my teams win a championship by age 22. i think itd be cool to see a team "finally win one" after years and years of watching them. not a popular opinion i know haha

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jul 6,2009 10:27am
had our chances this year.. blew it against one of the worst teams in the playoffs. I still can't believe the Penguins won.. what a joke. It's just going to make Crosby whine even more next year when someone gives him a little scratch on him arm.

toggletoggle post by tylor  at Jul 6,2009 10:27am
and the rest of the country definitely started hating boston sports a few years ago

toggletoggle post by MillenialKingdom  at Jul 6,2009 10:44am
I'm actually kind of excited about Wallace signing. It shows that they're really looking for dominant players and Sheed can still play defense and even score in the paint. I hated Big Baby so seeing him walk doesn't make me sad. Leon Powe leaving is a big blow but he's too hurt. If the Celtics sign Grant Hill, he'll have the same role Starbury had; ON THE BENCH.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jul 6,2009 10:48am
whoa now.. bag of bones? bench warmer? it's grant hill. I think he'd bring more to the team than starbury did. experience, knowledge, teaching rondo. he's obviously in the last phase of his career. give the guy a break!

toggletoggle post by MillenialKingdom  at Jul 6,2009 11:03am
I have nothing against him, but he wouldn't be a full-time player. He would be reduced to a bench coach. He'd probably get some 1 year veteran contract or something.

toggletoggle post by SkinSandwich at Jul 6,2009 11:27am
grant Hill will not come to Boston.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jul 6,2009 11:30am
why not?

toggletoggle post by titd nli at Jul 6,2009 1:30pm
what? I didnt hear anything about them letting davis go..ugh

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jul 6,2009 1:35pm
davis is still on the team. beacuse the celtics got wallace now, offers from other teams are going to go up for davis. the celtics already said they will "match offers" but if someone is willing to give him a fat paycheck, then he will probably take it. but, the brightside is, I don't think davis cares about money. the fans love him here, and he also had an increased role on the team last year.

toggletoggle post by SkinSandwich at Jul 6,2009 2:04pm
So did the celts let Donkey Moore go yet or what? he was about as useless as no tires on a car.

DEERRRRRRRR!

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jul 6,2009 2:05pm
moore sucks

toggletoggle post by SkinSandwich at Jul 6,2009 2:08pm
Exactly my point.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jul 6,2009 2:09pm
i was agreeing with your point. he sucks balls and should not play basketball anymore.

toggletoggle post by SkinSandwich at Jul 6,2009 2:12pm
I know you were. he has been in the league a long fucking time. he sucks so bad i can't believe he lasted this long.

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jul 6,2009 2:14pm
they got better players in the D league than Moore. not sure why he's even in the NBA.

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Jul 6,2009 2:15pm
ITT: Moore will be no moarrrr

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jul 6,2009 2:17pm

I have no doubt that petitioning Rev in a sports thread is akin to petitioning the lord with prayer.

toggletoggle post by tylor  at Jul 6,2009 3:08pm
i think mikki moore's role on the team was designated fouler. i swear everytime i saw him play he'd give like 4 fouls in 5 minutes

toggletoggle post by RustyPS  at Jul 6,2009 5:26pm
I heard they were still looking to resign Big Baby, or did I miss something?

Depends on whether or not they wanna match whatever offer he gets. If he gets way overpaid, they might have to let him go

The Knicks have made a 1 year offer with midlevel exception. I can almost guarantee that he'll be back with the Suns anyway. Most people don't willingly come to Boston unless offered a huge contract and the Knicks are garbage. He's better off with the Suns.

So I was looking into going to a game out here, my choices are Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies, they're all 4-5 hours at least away. I then discovered that Oklahoma City has a team called the THUNDER. never heard of them.anyone else?

toggletoggle post by MillenialKingdom  at Jul 11,2009 3:19pm
Where have you been? They've been called that since last season, dude.
