The biggest player in last year's draft was Herman Johnson of LSU 6'7" 356 lbs. It's dizzying to think that there's another guy out there who would dwarf him.
Here's the thing about genetic freaks and football... it's a skill game moreso than it is a size game. It pays to be a big oaf as an offensive lineman, but that's exactly why you get shorter guys with a more squat build lining up against them at DT so they can out leverage them with a lower center of gravity. Being a lineman, even an interior lineman is a matter of footwork, speed, and hand skills as much as it is about being huge.
