They are playing like a top tier team the last few weeks and I can't help becoming a fan of theirs. I am sure some of you feel the same way. Thoughts?

I have Hillis on 2 fantasy teams, so yeah, i've been loving the Browns all season. Nobody believes me, but i called the Saints upset.

Hi guys. I'm the long lost cousin of "Sacreligion." I'm the football relative of him.. he is the musical relative of me. I prefer sacks, he prefers sacs. I like balls, he eats balls. I prefer browns in my toilet, he prefers browns on the field. Once a year we meet for lunch and combine our forces into one unstoppable force. Just this month, he developed a bad disease and it ended up affecting his of train of thought. Do not listen to him, for the Browns won't come back to best the Jets. Trust me here.

I like what Peyton Hillis and Colt McCoy can do, and Watson and Cribbs, I guess, I just fucking hate mangina so much that I can't let my self root for 'em.

the only time I can root for the Browns is right now, for them to beat the Jets. fuck the Jets.

toggletoggle post by late_rising at Nov 14,2010 4:14pm
... and retarded Stuckey tries for 2 extra yards instead of going out of bounds and kicking the field goal for the win.

it's amazing how clueless NFL players can be.

toggletoggle post by late_rising at Nov 14,2010 4:39pm
ugh. the Browns = faggots. handed the OT win to the Jets. fuck this shit.

This is the definition of being a bandwagoner.

Eric Wright fucking sucks

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at Nov 14,2010 7:28pm
Stuckey is a moron. And a bandwagoner doesn't like a team with a losing record, I just think they have been playing well and can respect that.

Also, Jim needs to stop trolling.

This thread proves that my cousin's judgement is misguided. Fool is just another bandwagoner.

Tim Tebow:
1/1, 3 yards, 1 TD Drafted 25th overall

Jimmy Clausen:
51/109, 46.8%, 4.6 avg, 501 yards, 1 TD, 4 INTs Drafted 48th overall

Colt McCoy:
46/68 67.6%, 7.8 avg, 529 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs Drafted 85th overall

Right now McCoy is dishing out some I told you so to a lot of teams that needed a QB and either passed on him, or went for a bigger name. That being said, I think the Browns recent success has a lot less to do with Mangini's historically questionable coaching, and a lot more to do with Mike Holmgren taking the reigns and going out to get the right players.

Peyton Hillis, even though he killed the Pats, is the man right now as far as I'm concerned. Big white running back that doesn't go down for anything. How can you not love it? And don't forget 2 seasons ago the guy was a fullback buried on the Broncos depth chart, and only got a shot because their entire committee RB squad died.

How the Browns defense didn't take the opportunity to put Braylon Edwards in his grave is so far beyond me. It would have been a perfect statement for a team that is finally on the rise after years of being let down by a disgraceful draft pick.

I'll back you up on , McCoy, Mike. I really felt, coming out of the draft, that he was THE GUY out of that quarterback class who was best equipped to play in the NFL from the start. Pretty much, flip that list of three on it's head and that's how they should have been drafted based on what they'd produce in their first year.
Also, yes Peyton Hillis was a STEAL for the Browns. That man is a beast.

i've been a fan of hillis since he came out of nowhere for the broncos a few years ago. i love seeing guys kick ass who were drafted late or not drafted at all. guys like hillis, fred jackson, troy brown, wesley welker. that's my kind of football player.

I still think Clausen is going to be the best QB of this draft class...I just think he doesn't have any weapons right now

That being said, McCoy has been fantastic so far...Bradford too, I'm shocked by how accurate Bradford is

Peyton Hillis in perspective.

Hillis is the #1 recruited high school fullback in 2004. He goes to Arkansas where he becomes lead blocker/tight end/classic white dude to both...

Darren McFadden
2010: 757 yards / 139 carries 4 TDs

and

Felix Jones
2010: 353 yards / 87 carries 0 TDs

Hillis puts up 959 yards and 11 TDs in his college career even while being starved for carries with 2 high profile halfbacks in front of him. From there he's drafted 227th overall with 3 fullbacks being drafted ahead of him: Jacob Hester (SD, career 210 rushing yards), Jerome Felton (DET, career 86 yards), and Owen Schmitt (SEA, 21 yards/5 carries, hasn't ran a ball since 2008).

He then festers on the Shanahan run Broncos for 8 weeks until he's the only healthy running back remaining and puts up 343 yards and 5 touchdowns in 5 games before tearing a hamstring.

Hillis comes back the following season to the McDaniels era Broncos and continues to get no respect. He walks away from the season with a pathetic 13 rushing attempts, before he is traded the following season to the Browns for a 6th rounder and the worthless Brady Quinn (stats too terrible to even mention).

McDaniels stands fast that he can survive with a 3 headed rushing attack that features:

Knowshon Moreno
2010: 358 yards/ 98 carries 2 TDS

Correll Buckhalter
2010: 82 yards / 38 carries (2.2 avg) 1 TD

and the icing on the cake

Laurence Maroney
2010: 74 yards / 36 carries (2.1 avg) 0 TD

The stats so far

Denver TEAM rushing
2010: 691 yards / 216 carries 6 TDs

Peyton Hillis
2010: 726 yards / 152 carries 8 TDs

i think bradford will be the best QB of the draft class. I never liked clausen that much and i think tebow will suck. mccoy will be better than those 2.

You certainly were! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZING!

toggletoggle post by SkinSandwich at Nov 15,2010 12:53pm
Oh yeah, and I have high hopes for Bradford. Having Steven Jackson in the backfield is quite the boost for Bradford too. I saw Steven jackson leveling mother fuckers in the game against the Niners yesterday. Too bad the Rams lost that tough game.

On aother note I have to say this has been THE most fucked up, puzzling NFL seasons I have ever witnessed. That is saying a lot since I have watched every season since 1978, Ha! Almost completely unpredictable in all phases. This is not a good year for sports betters as far as the NFL is concerned. Since this season is soooo fucking demented, what are your folks picks for the Super Bowl? Has it changed since the beginning of the season? It has for me.

it has for me too

I had Ravens/Packers

now I have Steelers/Giants, yesterday notwithstanding
