I COULD NOT BELIEVE THIS!! HAHA!! Yankees lose out on both Crawford and Lee! I hope the Yankees blow hard.

This might be better news then the Sox getting Crawford/Gonzalez. For the first time in recent memory, the Yankees could not buy who they wanted. Cliff Lee took less years and less money then was offered to him. That's a class act. He went to the team he wanted to go to. Not just to the one with the bottomless checkbook.

I mean obviously these guys don't end up with the full amount of money that it gets reported they do (taxes and shit obviously) - but I found it interesting this morning on ESPN when they thought it was down to NY/TX - that they said the extra $ from New York might not mean much because taxes are higher there. Found it interesting, but obviously it seems as though he took far less in this case with less years.

Very interested to see where the Yankees go from here - not sure what, besides prospects (if they have any), they have to offer in a trade for starting pitching.

Can't wait for this season to start!

Only issue with Greinke is that he's a basket case who could barely handle pitching in KC. The Yankess would send him over the edge.

Cool off season bro

The Red Sox are the victors of this offseason. No other team has made such aggressive moves, even outspending most of the major league teams. If we don't win the World Series this season, I'll be shocked.

well the Phillies now have the best rotation in the Majors, and pitching is what wins in the playoffs....so a Phillies/Red Sox WS would be most logical if both teams stay healthy, but they'd be tough to beat with those 4 starters

Sox beat them before, I'm sure they can do it again. The Phillies hitting lineup isn't much different besides the obvious hole of Jayson Werth.
