I was reading an article on PFT about Redskins owner Dan Snyder planning to sue a washington post writer for writing an A-Z guide chronicling Snyders many, many failures and ripoff schemes. In fitting fashion, Snyder's attempts to get the article removed prompted me, and probably a lot more people, to read it. A lot of it is is really ridiculous to the point of being laughable. Some highlights include Snyder building 1,500 field level seats (charging $3,000 a piece) that were so low to the ground that the view was obstructed by the bench and players on the sideline. Snyder putting giant cannisters of melted vanilla ice cream in Mike Nolan's office to criticize his boring play calling. And my personal favorite: firing the GM who put together the 1991 Super Bowl team to hire his friend and (as the article points out) star of the film Kindergarten Ninja, Vinny Cerrato.
It's a really nice, in depth portrait of an affluent scum bag who destroyed a franchise.
don't worry, he'll fix it all by spending big in free agency and then they'll win the super bowl and everyone will be happy. he can probably get favre, the best football player -- no, the best ATHLETE-- of all time.
Snyder is a Steinbrenner wannabe without the brains to put the right people around him like Steinbrenner did...doesn't have Steinbrenner's balls either
“Ewwwww!”: How Barbara Hyde, spokeswoman for the American Society for Microbiology, reacted to last year’s news that Snyder’s vendors were selling beer in the bathrooms. Fans had been alleging that the Redskins were hawking lager in the loo long before a YouTube video surfaced in October 2009. Hyde said that because microbiological bad actors like E. coli hang out in the men’s room, beer vendors shouldn’t.
