Loved Manny. The man brought us two championships and the greatest post season series in the history of baseball. If steroids were a factor in that it was only to keep up with the most steroid loaded lineup in the history of the game (the 2003/2004 Yankees). He can punch all the old men he wants. I'll always be ashamed of Boston for letting Larry Lucchino, and Scott Boras convince them that they hated Manny.
I'm pissed. 2004 never happened. Our two big cheats (Ortiz, Ramirez) won those titles. Tainted if you ask me. 2007 never happened either. Baseball is a game of cheaters.
Pretty disappointed (well kind of). I have Sox tickets for Monday and Tuesday, would have been nice to see Manny and Johnny one last time really. Got to see his official return to Fenway with the Dodgers though. There's no excuse for this at all and a total embarrassing way to go out.
