ESP LTD F205 5 String Bass w/ OHSC - $375

Purchased new for $800 in Jan. 2003; I am the original owner. Included with the bass is a custom-fitted ESP hardshell in near-perfect condition that I purchased separately for $100.

The bass is in excellent condition and has been cared for very well. The neck is straight and there are no fret issues and no buzzing issues.

- High quality ESP tuning machines; stay in tune very well
- 2 EMG-HZ Soapbars and an EMG preamp
- Mahogany body (NOT agathis like newer/cheaper ESP models); beautiful and well-cared for high-gloss black finish
- 5 piece maple/walnut/maple/walnut/maple neck
- Rosewood board with really nice grain and mother-of-pearl dot inlays
- Graphite nut
- Visually appealing 'darkened' chrome hardware (somewhere in between fully chrome hardware and black chrome hardware)
- Currently fitted with DR Hi-Beams

I am selling only because I really need the money; I would be keeping this bass if it was at all possible.

the f series are pretty cool lookin basses
the f series guitars however, were prolly one of the ugliest guitars ever created.

ya, but its bigger and more porportioned than the guitar. If you look at em side by side theyre totally different porportions.

I am a fan of the ESP Forrest models myself.
If you pickup and play the f50 or 100 model in person it's alot more proportioned than it looks on web images. nice feel too.

Personally, the basses are to bulky for me.

I'm happy some people are expressing interest in the bass. As I said, I would love to see this bass in the hands of someone who will keep it going in the local metal scene.

If anybody wants to try out the bass, which I would definitely consider necessary before buying it, call me and arrange a time to stop by my dorm in Cambridge. I'm here most of the time during the week but usually gone on the weekends.

I've never played Zach's F205, but I remember noticing one time at a show that he and I had the version with the 5 piece maple/walnut neck. (AKA the older version.) The ones ESP are putting out now have all maple necks and are also no longer made of Mahogany, which mine is made of.

Zach's had the action SLAMMED... it played really nice all together although it fret buzzed slightly (i would just raised the action a tiny bit more and it would have been perfect) and i was totally feeling how it felt so im extremely interested in this bass. hell... ill even give you half so you can hold it for me and then give you the other like a week or so after or something... i dont know... i want this bass so yeah... blah.(fucking christmas is killing me)

ahhhh... Brian eh? hahaha, havent seen him in a while. i dont know... last i remember we were pretty much the same. fast finger style death metal bassists. he just happened to be in a band that was more technical than mine (although i always tossed in some sort of fill bullshit or chord or slap/pluck shit or sweep to make it more interesting) so i dont know. he's good though.

he's fucking amazing and i love being in a band with the bastard !!!! and if you thought aganihm was tech wait till you see our 30-45second songs ha !
