Service Update (July 14, 2003)

As of today, Atlantic.Net and the landlord of Feature Price's facility have served Feature Price with an eviction notice. This means that Feature Price officials have until July 17, 2003 to vacate the premises. If Atlantic.Net gains access to the facility, or as new information becomes available, we will continue to provide updates to all Feature Prices customers on this Web page.

We are hiring additional staff as quickly as possible to accommodate the huge volume of requests we have received from Feature Price's 40,000+ customer base. We ask that you please be patient while we try to service your inquires and support requests.

now when I go to the old company: http://www.featureprice.com
I get:

Tired of the up's and down's with the saga of FP and Atlantic?

We cannot go into "details" of the outlaying issues at this time. However, it is Atlantic's choice "NOT" to provide services. Example is the "why your site is down." Well, your content is offline due to other reasons outside of "former fp" control. However, if Atlantic were serious about "wanting to help" and "do all they can and was interested in keeping good with agreements" than they would offer to put and activate you in their data center, regardless of your site content being "unavailable" at this time. You could rebuild on their network and servers regardless. This message is not for forums and etc. rather for the others that are interested in one thing and that is hosting your content.

It is simple, call Atlantic and request that your site or account be created on their servers on their network and ask them to simply settle with FP and get this over with, due to confidentiality agreements we cannot go into the details however, you can get your site uploaded onto their machines on their network if they were serious about your valued business.

Many of you are sick-n-tired of the issues, so are we, we have met Atlantic's offer, we have sent in writing many times settlement offers, over the last 3 weeks Atlantic has only sent ONE email in writing for settlement.

It is simple, your content is still on hard disks and available and intact. You have not lost the information you requested (unless your server was marked "unrecoverable" prior to the disconnection by Sprint) so, if you want your service fullfilled than Atlantic can give you that service, if you want your data than Atlantic needs to settle, we stand available any hour any day to settle on reasonable terms (and no its not big, and cannot release that information) however, if you would simply make an organized effort to push Atlantic to a serious table offer and we sit down and get this worked out all is DONE and no more former FP issues will ever be apart of your experiences in the future, urge your representatives at Atlantic to settle, again it is not large or substantial, we just need to settle and the quicker we settle the quicker this saga ends.

Thanks.

We recommend for budget and mini's to host with yahoo, or 247experthost.com, etc, low cost and stable, Premimum and Platnium should stay with Atlantic due to honoring your contract and they do offer excellent stability on their machines, just would not say much for support (like most companies), Atlantic is a good company, FP was as well, no company is perfect however FP and Atlantic needs to work this out and quickly, enough stalling.

the last note, I guess on this.
well... we'll see when and if they give me back my other domain I registered through them.

8-28-03

Atlantic.Net and Feature Price have reached a settlement agreement. Following is a summary of the terms of the agreement:

1) Despite our best efforts, both parties agree that we were unable to reach a resolution that would allow us to continue with the acquisition as originally planned.

2) Atlantic.Net will continue to serve and support all former Feature Price customers who have already switched to Atlantic.Net.

3) Feature Price is responsible for serving customers who remain on Feature Price’s network.

4) The original Asset Purchase Agreement is null and void. No equipment will change hands. This means that customers should contact Feature Price if they have questions about Web site files that remain on Feature Price’s equipment.

You may contact Feature Price in one of the following ways:

Address: http://www.featureprice.com
Support: http://helpdesk.featureprice.com

5) If you are a Feature Price customer who registered your domains through Feature Price/DotRegistrar AND have signed up for an Atlantic.Net account, then you will need to go through Atlantic.Net to administer your domain using the online tool located at https://signup.atlantic.net/featureprice/login.php.

All other customers who have inquiries regarding their domains should contact Feature Price, even if you have previously used Atlantic.Net’s Domain Name Manager. This includes current Feature Price customers, those who have already switched to another Web hosting company (other than Atlantic.Net), and those who plan to switch to another Web hosting provider.

6) All other terms of the agreement are strictly confidential. Please do not contact Atlantic.Net or Feature Price for more information, as our employees are under a confidentiality clause.

on their support page...

how full of crap they are:

Featureprice.com Update August 21, 2003

Featureprice has resumed technical support via our E-Tickets and Helpdesk services. Live Chat will shortly resume and LIMITED telephone customer service will resume, voice technical support services will not resume at this time.

Featureprice.com Update August 11, 2003

Featureprice has been very busy setting up the management system for the FeaturePanel system. As of now all PLESK related systems are online however, all FeaturePanel systems are without a control panel at this time. We are anticipating a solution within the next 14 days.

The store will come online sometime after we have restored FeaturePanel and all upgrades to FeaturePanel. Thank you for your patience while we complete the transitioning.

Featureprice.com Update August 4th 2003

Featureprice has completed its' move and migration to our new data center facilities. All services shall resume within the next 48hrs. As of now approx. 30% are active and more becoming active hour by hour.

There has been allot of confusion and rumors of Featureprice.com lately and we have stated little and refrained from contributing in order to lesson the confusion and misinformation.

Within the next 48hrs ALL services will resume and ALL clients (that are still with featureprice.com) will receive 100% of their hosting plans. This means for the last 4 months of the relocations and statements and involvements with other companies, Featureprice.com has chosen to continue operations and services and expand further.

All clients and ALL plans will receive FULL time credits of the 4 Months that have passed. There is no distinction between Platinum to Mini Accounts. ALL will continue and will have FULL time credit of 4 months to their account. There will be no further service disruption and more news to follow and announcements/ releases.

Thank you.
