Anyone here disapointed with the new CC album? After the first 4 songs it gets dull in my opinion.Idk,maybe I gotta listen to it a few more times. They definitly sound different without Jack Owen

i will have to agree. you actually made a useful proclamation

toggletoggle post by thedeparted   at Mar 28,2006 12:29pm

Ok I will do that.It just dont got the edge that the Wretched Spawn has

toggletoggle post by thedeparted   at Mar 28,2006 12:36pm
i havent listened to it much either to be honest, but ill give it more time.
i cant listen to wretched spawn too much, corpse grinder like ran out of ideas for vocals im pretty sure. heh

toggletoggle post by MetalcoreSUCKS at Mar 28,2006 12:40pm
And the band has run out of ideas for album covers. The KILL cover is so lame

toggletoggle post by Dissector NLI at Mar 28,2006 12:46pm
Every single album by them is a Disapointment to me. Besides maybe Eaten Back To Life because that did have a nice fresh sound to it.

toggletoggle post by craz   at Mar 28,2006 12:49pm

Yeah the cover is pretty lame. Too simple compared to their other covers.

toggletoggle post by thedeparted   at Mar 28,2006 12:49pm
i like bloodthirst the best, great production.

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Mar 28,2006 12:50pm
I completely disagree. I'm enjoying it a great deal.

Who cares about the cover art, it doesn't HAVE cover art, that was the whole point!

toggletoggle post by thedeparted   at Mar 28,2006 12:50pm
ha that cover is terrible

This album is quite similar to Bloodthirst, though not that good.

toggletoggle post by thedeparted   at Mar 28,2006 12:51pm
well it is just weird, everytime a CC album comes out, the cover art is usually great, or atleast interesting. this one looks like it took about 14 seconds in ms paint

toggletoggle post by pam nli at Mar 28,2006 12:55pm
I love it! I think it's great. Cover art sucks, but, that's not really important to me.

toggletoggle post by slowlypeelingtheflesh   at Mar 28,2006 12:58pm
you just dont like it because it came out after the 80s

toggletoggle post by CraigForACurse  at Mar 28,2006 1:12pm
i personally dont care much for cannibal corpse after vile. i dont like corpsegrinder all that much. he doesnt write ANY of the lyrics, and the yubba dubba dubba vocals get old fast

Who was that directed to?

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Mar 28,2006 1:14pm
The entire site as a whole.

toggletoggle post by CraigForACurse  at Mar 28,2006 1:16pm
thats fucking gay.

toggletoggle post by Ryan_M at Mar 28,2006 1:27pm
maybe they couldn't get vincent locke to draw an album cover for them, hence the simplicity of the cover art.
i heard one song from the new album on WAAF's "harder faster" program, one thing i noticed was that corpsegrinder's vocals sound a lot clearer, the words are pronounced more clearly. musically, it wasn't too impressive, pretty standard material. i think they're running out of good ideas for lyrics though, the song titles are kinda dumb too.

toggletoggle post by Anthony nli at Mar 28,2006 1:32pm
i think the CD is amazing. And the artwork is beneath the CD underneath the plastic, and it's fucking awesome.

and yes, it does take more listens to appreciate it than The Wretched Spawn did. It took about 4 listens before I fully realized what a great CD it was.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Mar 28,2006 1:32pm
its pretty much the vocals that turned me away. it sounds like he is losing his voice, which is how it sounded on Paths of Possession.

toggletoggle post by Anthony nli at Mar 28,2006 1:33pm
lyrically it was not even close to as good as the previous 3 albums though. I will definitely agree with that.

i felt the same way after hearing the promo page Metal Blade made, but after hearing the vocals on CD I thought they were excellent.

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Mar 28,2006 1:35pm
I kind of got the impression he was doing the vocals different on purpose.

Anyway, the album is great, not their best.

I like his vocals better, he enunciates. I know that's not BRUTTTTALGUY, but I like it.

As do I

I highly enjoy the album, not as technical as Wretched Spawn which is what I like. The only problems I have with the album is that Webster's bass isn't as loud as I'd want it, I'd want it more like Gallery of Suicide or The Bleeding style of leveling in order to really hear how amazing he is.

toggletoggle post by pam nli at Mar 28,2006 1:48pm
Alex Webster is a god among men.

coudn't have sed it better my self

toggletoggle post by pam nli at Mar 28,2006 2:22pm
Well if you've heard Corpsegrinder speak you'd be grateful that he doesn't write the lyrics. He's uh...dumb.

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Mar 28,2006 2:23pm
I like Corpsegrinder and feel his vocals are superior to that overrated hack they had previously. Tune in to Six Feet Under and the new Torture Killer and hear exactly what I mean.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Mar 28,2006 3:18pm
agreed. i like Corpsegrinder way better, he can say words so fucking fast. try and follow the lyrics to "Disposal of the Body" from Gallery of Suicide. awesome. i did like the vocals on Butchered at Birth, but they were atrocious on Tomb of the Mutilated. Vile is superior to all. i heard that Torture Killer, it is horrendous.

toggletoggle post by dwellingsickness at Mar 28,2006 3:19pm
I like the album, better than the last few. But I am not to big a fan of Corpsegrinder,Musically I like it though

for those of you Barnes nay sayers, i agree that he sucks NOW, but go buy the corpse box set and listen to the tracks he did for the vile album. MUCH better than corpsegrinder

toggletoggle post by spaldino at Mar 28,2006 5:27pm
this album is a breath of fresh air. actually LISTEN to the album. they werent trying to put out "just another Corpse" album. they went a little more old school with it. barely any "corpse" blasting and just straight groovey brutality.

I actually agree with this statement, as I have heard those tracks. But I don't really think Vile is that great to begin with. Gallery of Suicide and Bloodthirst destroy that record with appreciable ease.

All I meant with my naysaying is that Barnes wasn't exactly the driving force behind the band, and in my opinion they've gotten even better without him, and part of that for me is Corpsegrinder's vocals.

toggletoggle post by Anthony nli at Mar 28,2006 7:29pm
some of the vocals on Bloodthirst are unreal.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Mar 28,2006 8:09pm
i can't remember the last time i listened to these guys.
