New site? Maybe some day.

I'm looking forward to Godless Rising - I'll be there.
Anyone know what time Goreality goes on? When does it start? |
I am, in about 30 minutes. |
good cause I'm here and you need to tell the door guy that the rev is cool. |
sure. you are probably still in haverhill |
hm.. there is only like 20 people here |
goreality: their set destroyed. Talk about a hard act to follow for everyone the whole night. The only thing was that the back up vocals weren't there. after the set, I tried to get someone to buy an anoxia CD, but he didn't have any money.
I Destroyer: finally, I got to catch another full set by them. The first song they did had vocals with almost a rock sound to them. the 2nd song had the same marching beat and thrashy sound as my live kreator CD. the rest of the set killed and sounded like the usual I destroyer that I'm used to. I must say that I'm wicked disapointed in PVD. basically they didn't come out to see I destroyer. that sucks. if bob came out and did dropdead songs, the house would back in. but since he's doing something different/new, people lameout. lame. |
shroud of bereavement: please, more songs about unicorns. So, this was my first time catching them since keli left. The new girl was pretty good (sorry, I forget her name). I think that she will get more comfortable/confident in the front of the crowd. One thing I noticed is that she did come up forward, showing the slightest signs for her future of possibly being a driving lead. That's one thing that the previous 2 singers never did. They both blended in with the band, but this could add a very interesting dynamic to have a "front woman" putting her foot on the monitor and headbanging. I think this might bring the crowd and the band together. SOB sets always seem like it's just them up their playing and then way down below is the audience (with that said I still miss seeing kel play with them). they played..um.. 3 songs I think. mark was all sassy with his hair on stage to and all the people in shroud were freshly showered so the stage smelled nice. |
shrouds was good. keyboards a little too loud for me in the mix, especially for a two board band. goreality was better than i thought they'd be, never seeing them before. keen, was when i left. i, detroyer was awesome. dig key changes. |

i'm not happy about missing i, destroyer. they are one of my favorite bands, local or otherwise. but there was another show in providence tonight...aside from that, the "regulars" hardly ever seem to show up for a living room show. |

aren't I always though? |
Fuck, I missed Goreality. I really wanted to catch them. I destroyer was great, and Godless Rising just fucking killed.
I have to say though ... The Living Room always sounds like shit. When you go to the side of the stage it sounds much better than in front. Its always way too loud. The sound guy can never get a handle on it. That place always seems to be twice as loud as it should be -- making everything mud.
By the way, Gruslin's busting John's balls and the shout out for RTTP was cool. |

FU BOSTON COPS. they forced me on to route 1N which is closed so I have to take all back roads. |
pictures all the way to the moon! |
hey! it's that dude with the shirt. |
hey aaron, why didn't these pics show up on the home page? |

you should have stayed on 95N the whole way, makes more sense for you seeing since you are going to portsmouth anyways |
actually normally it doesn't. 95N to 93N to 1N to 95N is a lot quicker at night than just staying on 95N. Plus, it less miles. 95N kicks out around boston to the opposite side that portsmouth is on. |
ahh, makes sense, but you drive a hybrid, you could take the looooooooooooong way home on a tank of gas HAHAH
any clue why the pics from last night didn't show up on the home page? the last band up there is KotC @ WUNH |

yeah, Goreality was sick shit, brutal as hell, and ultra tight, I'm glad I get to see 'em |
it didn't show up there cause I forgot to add it before passing out.
another thing is that 95N is so boring that I would rather go through the city to have things to look at as I drive. |

at least you passed out at home and not on the road |
yeah, goreality is tight. they thought it was sloppy at the end, but i disagree. probably a stage moniter thing, cause it was all good to me. weird they opened. great band. |
agreed, I'd love to see them again, good brutal shit |
i thought I destroyer were amazing..and Godless were great too. |
if it wasn't finals week, i'd have gone. |

WHERE IS THE kEEN OF THE cROW REVIEW???????? |
the sound on the stage was terible but u know how it go's.........I think all the bands were great......fun show! |
I was mostly just flirting with Samantha.
No it's the other way around with Joyce.

keen of the crow: they got one song pulled from their set. people in the audience yelled for them to play 2, but they just played that 10 minute lon song instead. It sounded perfect. Back home, these guys must practice non-stop so they can play this tight each night, every night.
Godless Rising: if I'm not mistaken, this was the first time I've see them on a large stage and god.. er.. I mean good sounding system. they couldn't hear each other at all. you see could see it a bunch of times when they would all look confused at mike and step back. one good thing about GR is that their set isn't that long. this is a plus cause in their infancy, they leave the crowd wanting more. |
thanks for putting the review up, i will pass it along to the guys in kotc.
\m/ |
I had more to say, but it got lost along the way. |
