New site? Maybe some day.

They are a great fucking band. |
the musicianship easily puts everyone else to shame, but the music is so heavy and fucked up that it doesnt sound wanky at all. |
They are at the cutting edge of tech-death, and more importantly, they don't write music for that sake only. The songs are actually great. |
they definetly need to come around to new england again. |
bump, so more people can watch these |
they have some of the most memorable riffs for a tech death band.
I think we need a tour:
Spawn of Possession
Decrepit Birth
Decapitated
Necrophagist |
I'm curious what is so great about Decrepit Birth?
Chug-chug-chug-speed pick-blast. Cannibal Corpse/Suffocation/Deicide ripoff (some of the riffs are pretty much DIRECT ripoffs), maybe a little faster, but without any creativity.
Why would they be considered in the same league as a great band like Spawn of Possession and Decapitated who are extremely talented with great compositional skills? |
i think that is a legitimate complaint about the And Time Begins album. Although I personally think that album is incredible. Once you accept that it is pretty much unrelenting, you can appreciate more of the musicianship and songwriting.
The newer demo tracks they've released are much better though!! Much more influenced by Cynic/Atheist with vastly improved songwriting. |
there's one on their Myspace page. |
yeah, I was more referring to the new demo stuff. Tim Yeung's drumming on And Time Begins is what made that album. Anthony's right, that CD is unrelenting. they'd make a good opener on a tour like that. or dump them and get suffocation to headline, but I wouldn't want to see any of the remaining 3 open the show. |
Just got Noctambulant. Listening now.
I'm just digging the Polish scene so much right now, more than stuff like Decrepit Birth by far. Might not be as unrelenting, but it produces far better songs that I will want to listen to repeatedly. Bands like Trauma, Lost Soul, Crionics, Vader, Dies Irae, etc. |
