New site? Maybe some day.

Hey,
Is anyone one here going to the Unearth show in Worcester on Saturday and is driving there? I'm in Boston and my friend and I would typically take the train out and back - thought I'd see if anyone is driving anyway that we could meet up with, would obviously be willing to pitch in for gas.
This is my first time posting here, let me know if this is in the wrong place?
Thanks,
Chris |

I am going, but I'm leaving from NH, sorry. |

i am actually going to this! |
we will be there also. maybe we will get on stage and sing a song with unearth? |
animosity is starting in a minute. I might be the oldest person here. |
animosity: they rushed out on stage under the cover of a darkened stage. Completely ready to burst into a loud explotion on stage... and... nothing. When they rushed out, the stage wasn't ready for them. The singer tried too get the mic to work but it wasn't happening. after a few minutes of them standing around (and after the singer got the crowd to do the wave twice), they started up. their sound is a bit too chaotic for the palladium equipment to reproduce, but they still sounded awesome. it's surprising with only one CD that they are able to play such a thoroughly enjoyable set. Personally, I wish this was in some dank basement somewhere like..oh..idk.. The library still, they seem to hae perfectly adapted to 15yo girls screaming shrill cries to express their enthusiasm that animosity is on stage. What is up with that? with one more session of the wave they were done. |
through the eyes of the dead: they sounded so much better than the last time I shot them. Everything that I thought were "kinks" in their performance have been worked out over their tours since ashland/metalfest (like SOTU). The singer was awefully phlegmy. I had to duck gobs of spit more than a few times. I've listened to their CD a lot and they song play a lot of the riffs live. Or if they did, I couldn't hear them. During their last song, someone from on stage dove into the crowd. There are so many new jacks there that they didn't know what to do and looked paniced trying to find the guy. Out of all the people in the staff down here, there is many be one person I know. Ep!
Unearth has a set of cabs almost as large as lamb of god. Wonder how many are real. |

terror: scott, singer, had been sick which caused them to miss a bunch of shows. You couldn't tell at all during their set. He ran around and screamed with the same energy that he has lately. he was in the crowd a bunch too. I think I saw frankie DB4D jump up out of the crowd and scream "ALWAYS!!!" sort of a short set for them. but they packed in a bunch of new & old ones. I don't really know their new CD (even though I have a photo in it) so I can't comment on how the new songs sounded. They have that new (white) bass player who I kept looking up and thinking he was the old bassplayer. Some kid hoped up on stage and missed the crowd stage diving so security threw him out. After that, they were hype-vigilent over people running out of the pit. They ended with overcome and for some reason all the girls in the crowd decided to crowd surf. They either really like that song and wanted to express it or they wanted to get out of the crowd and get to the bathroom to avoid the post-band rush. |
bleeding through: I think they got a new set of keyboards. There was tons of high-pitched screaming for them. Only 1/2 of it was comng from girls... Eyeliner was fairly spread out too. They started off with a different song than usual. Then played their usual first song second. I know the first 4 songs so they had to be older ones. there were an aweful lot of crowd surfers coming over the barricade. Makes me think back to when I used to fight for spot at the front of the crowd to see my favorite bands. Dealing with kicks to the head, elbows in my ribs, pushed up against some sweat dude infront of me, with another sweaty dude pressed against my ass. How queer. I don't miss that! I had to wait until the second to last song until there was another song that I could sing along to. Brandan thanked the security guards for the job that they have been doing, but then said that they looked bored so everyone should try to get on stage for the last song. Oh, many tried, but none suceeded in getting up on that stage. All those that tried ended up getting pulled down by the security guards with great prejudice. Then just like that it was over.
in between the sets, the security guards continually hosed down the crowd. This is going to make for one stinky/gross crowd in a few minutes when unearth gets on stage. |

Nice seeing you again rev, probably see you tommorow |
I don't know shut it down. |
i think it's funny you decided to use this as the "show thread" |
there were a lot of photographers in the pit.... who were they? do they have other websites
pictures as usual came out awesome. |
yea that was a good sho. i didnt know terror was so tough guy alpha male "emo." bleeding through played some old school beats off their first release, that was kick ass. unearth didnt play anything real old, i wanna to hear sumthing from back in the local days of the salem elks or the new world in Lynn. |
maybe they will play the older stuff when they play lido or brockton/nashua if they ever do that. |

They actually do have another full length, "Shut It Down" But I don't think they ever play from it. |
yeah, animosity does have a cd before empires and it is called 'shut it down.' the cd is waaaay more straight ahead metalcore and has almost next to no death metal tinge to it whatsover. totally understandable why they dont play any tracks off of it. |
im not a big fan of unearth's old stuff, but i must say the new album is enjoyable |
some of my friends went to this, on the other hand i went and saw guns up! with shipwreck, verse, crime in stereo and several other good bands in cambridge and i think i had the time of my life. but whatever floats your boat, i would ahve liked to have seen animosity personally, but next time! |
i saw the rev singing along to unearth's 'endless' |
hah! cause I've seen it how many times? |
I wish Unearth would just go away |
