I sure hope this aint a sign of things to come this year. The Bs got blasted tonight 8-3 against FL.I shut the game off in the third period when it was only 5-2.Its to early to tell whats gonna happen with the team this year, but this isnt a good way to start off.Maybe a new coach aint gonna matter

I'm sick of the bruins sucking.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 7,2006 12:34am
should have used the sports flag.

toggletoggle post by vomitthesoul  at Oct 7,2006 12:37am
How do I attach the flag to a new thread?

toggletoggle post by vomitthesoul  at Oct 7,2006 12:48am
I just checked out a Bruins forum and someone on there said that the Jacob Brothers should sell the Bruins. Not a bad idea in my opinion. The Jacobs are cheap ass motherfucking jews who have done nothing for the franchise. All they care about is making money(they own the concessions at the Fleet Center). They traded Thorton, and didnt even bother to resign Mike Knuble,Brian Rolston,Brian Leetch or Travis Green.Watching the game tonight was like watching an AHL team.Who the fuck are these losers on the 4th line?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 7,2006 12:48am
I marked it sports.
when you create a thread, there is a "special flags" drop down that has the options
video
sports
tv
movie
video game
and news (non metal/hardcore news story that is)

Who cares about football? Ive never seen any sporting event like the SuperBowl get hyped up so much. And most of the time the commercials are better than the game itself. Are you a Pastriots fan? I spelled that wrong on purpose Im sick of reading the Herald's Sports section everyday and having to skip through 4-5 pages of football.Hockey rules man!! But it blows that its popularity is DEAD

I don't like watching sports (too homoerotic for me) and i've only watched 2 hockey games in my life
1) UNH wildcats in 98 or 99 so I would know when to run downtown and riot.
2) the manchester monarchs 2 years ago for a xmas work trip

Then fucking watch womens tennis or womens basketball.

The reason football is hyped up so much is because black people can't ice skate.

So since there aren't any playing hockey, 13-20 year old wiggers (which probably account for 60% of footballs fanbase) don't watch it.

Plus, all 50 states participate in the NFL.

Geographically, not every state can cradle icehockey on an all acces level.

actually hockey sucks cause they play it up to try and get people interested in it who arent and now the sport is about as entertaining as watching a high school game.

i love hockey but its been horrible for about the last 4years.

also yes im a pats fans but if before this year cause theyre everyones favorite new team i would try to find a Saints game on to hope theyd win.

I know a whole 3 Black NHL players. One of them is Anson Carter. He was on the Bruins a few years ago.Blacks dont play hockey because its to expensive. All you need to play basketball are sneakers and a ball.I believe the NBA and NFL are 85-90 percent Jungle Bunnies

There were 13 penalties total for both teams last night. You cant even touch a guy with your stick anymore. That results in a hooking penalty.Ive never seen so many 5 on 3s in my life. When I went to a Bs game last year there were 5 penalties called in the 1st period alone. The Bruins power play is dreadful.I cant remember when it was actually good.Their gonna miss Thorton more and more as the season goes on.Mangement tried to shake the team up by trading him last year.Well,we all know how that turned out.Thorton was the league MVP in 2005.Can u say the next Mario Lemiux?

I have been into football since 1978, haha. The first game I ever watched was between the Redskins and Cowboys and I was hooked for life. I really cannot stand hockey as it bores me to death. To each their own though. I dig the fights in hockey though. Those are always cool.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 7,2006 9:53am
the fights are the only thing to watch

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Oct 7,2006 1:11pm
thornton will never be as good as mario lemieux

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Oct 7,2006 1:12pm
the nhl is way more interesting now than it was for at least a decade before. the rule changes have improved the game a lot and put more emphasis on speed and skill

That is open for debate.Joe is only 27 years old.Hes got at least 10 more years in him.Plus he plays 2 way hockey,Lemieux never did that.If SJ put a couple more players around him, watch and see his assists and goals go way up.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Oct 7,2006 1:26pm
i don't think he'll end up with more points than mario, but as long as sj keeps cheechoo around and adds more weapons, thornton will most likely finish his career as one of the all time greats. what a bonehead move by the bruins, but if thornton needed a change of scenery. he underachieved in boston because there was noone like cheechoo to keep him motivated.

dude are you seriously ok? Brian Leetch? the guy is old as fuck, and had HORRIBLE YEAR last year. he looked fucking lost.

I liked Green, wished they kept him around. Knuble and Rolston are decent, but over priced.

The B's have a good team this year, and the only spot im nervous about is the goalie position. Thomas had a great year last year, considering he had no defense. But can he keep it up? Can Toivenen stay healthy?

Id like the 4th line better if they played Wade Brookbank constantly. I think they should have kept Colton Orr, do doubt in my mind. That pissed me off so bad last when they waived him. I also loved Doug Doull a couple years ago. Im surprised the 4th line was as good as they were last night. For a line of guys who rarely fight, and arent known for toughness (except for maybe Hoggan) they were flying around the ice, finishing there checks, and even Statsny dropped em (even though Chara had to save his life).

Im not sure you are going to see much movement from Boston to Providence this year, unless someone gets injured. The defensive corp in Providence is pretty strong (Jay Leach (nephew of former Bruin Steve Leach) leads that pack. I love him. Big strong defenesemen that plays a tough game.) The Providence team is pretty young, but there are players of interest to watch down there that will probably we in Boston in the next year or 2. (Watch Matt Lashoff,Peter Kalus, and Wacey Rabbit)

One dude that was awesome from Providence last year was Nathan Robinson. I have no clue what happened to him.

and if you get bored of the pussified NHL come watch some brawls in Lowell. They are definatley going to have a tough team this year, and they open tonight
