i was flicking the channels to come upon this movie just started it is on g4 (219 on comcast) they are also filming a live horror movie and invited people to come down to the hosts house in WI
yeah Romero didn't get it copyrighted right. that's why there's a NOTLD in 3D and theres was a shitty remake done in 1990. Theres' a bunch of independent versions out there too.....they all suck.

The remake was actually directed by Tom Savini, the guy behind the gore in Dawn and Day (he also played the head of the motorcycle gang in Dawn), and Romero had a decent amount to do with the remake. Just saying.
actually yeah now that you mention it i think i remember that Romero wanted to do the remake so that he could gain a little more control and try to pull it out of the public domain. I don't think it really worked though. I think most of the "classic" movies are public domain now and NOTLD definitely counts as a classic

savini is my hero and i think he did a good job with that re-make sure not as good as the original but still good and he gets extra points for using bill mosley as johhny.....i've seen notld way to many times now. p.s savini is in the dwn of the dead re-make and land of the dead to... only cameos but you can tell its him...i love romero movies ic ant wait for the next one
is it just me or the black dude was so against being in the basement, but then by the end of the movie, that's where he ends up.
Yup, he ends up down there, but when he knows things cleared out upstairs he goes up and looks out a window and someone shoots him in the head thinking he was a stench.
