American taxpayers are now spending more than a billion dollars per year to incarcerate its citizens for pot. Nearly 800,000 people were arrested on marijuana charges in 2005. When will the insanity stop?

It won't stop. Drug charges are the only "crimes" on the books where the prosecution is not burdened with having to provide a victim in it's case.
We also seem to forget that private prisons are one of the nation's fastest growing multi-BILLION dollar industry. More "criminals," more profit.
