cattle decapitation: they were both awesome and odd. The crowd was sort of completely disjointed from the band playing in front of them. The security kept the audience arms length from the stage. It was enough room for wade, some other photogs, and myself to squeeze into. even though josh is an awesome guitarist, I had really been looking forward to seeing them with a second guitarist. Some day. With a stage just like every single other high school gym floor and travis constantly squirting, spraying, and dripping water everywhere, you can only imagine how slippery it got on that stage. I didn't get a picture of travis slipping on the stage. They played a song at the end that sounded like king diamond.

daughters: wow, they were on there best behavior for this set. I have never seen them play for that long. I was snapping for a 13 minute set... But they played for about 40 minutes. There was an amazing amount of saliva as usual, but no full monty (though people in the front did get some balls to face). They had a fill in guitartist who I met when I came in and was told what band he was in.. But I forget... the security rushed around to keep the PAs from getting knocked over.

they are a really sick grindcore band that is totally extreme and sick. and extreme. and they are tr00 grind.

this show was pretty so-so. i was more bummed out about the club than anything really.

locust, the: it actually looks like people left after daughters. Not sure where they went, but the majority of them came back for the locust. All of their gear was push up to the edge of the stage so the crowd was right there in their faces. it's had to bridge that ggap between the stage and the audience This left plenty of room for me on stage. A nice change. If you asked me what songs they played, would have no clue. I snapped a shot of the setlist, but I did notice the giant synth rack the keyboardist had. Awesome. He must be in radiohead.

actually, after hearing some mc5 stories... they aren't too far off.

i saw this show lastnight, besides the daughters not being my thing the locust, and cattle d wer tight.

This show was pretty awful. I heard the Locust were awesome live but they annoyed the piss out of me. I left after about 10 minutes. Cattle Decapitation was terrible. Daughters were the only decent part, and the singer just about ruins the band because the guitarist and drummer and bass player fucking rule, instead you have to deal with the douchebag singer stuttering and calling you a faggot. Great. Although I think what really ruined the show was over an hour wait for Cattle Decapitation to get their stupid vocal effects to work which they only used on one song and NO READMISSION. WTF. 15 dollars when they advertised it as 12 and no fucking readmission, which means no fucking cigarette break between these bulllshit fascist wannabee fucktard bands. Fuck that.

id also like to add that it took three days for my left ear drum to stop hurting from the keyboard players vocals. fucking shit was so painful, oh yeah my roomate got the new locust record it actually wasnty bad it was kinda sludgey in a Neurosis way not all meddly meddly craziness
