I was driving down the street listening to some music...and then my stereo just shut off and wouldn't come back on. Then I noticed that my speedometer was also not working. Everything else seems to be in check, however...anyone know what this could be?

You probably accidentally deleted your system32 folder.

bad fuse? weak battery? Could be something like that.

toggletoggle post by diarrhea_blumpkin at Nov 13,2007 3:11pm
its most likely the fuse... in most cars the stereo and other dash things are fused together,,, or your car is haunted

toggletoggle post by Samantha at Nov 13,2007 3:14pm
Yes, it's probably just a fuse. They're pretty cheap.

Have you checked your flux capacitor?

toggletoggle post by BobNOMAAMRooney nli at Nov 14,2007 12:40am
Were you listening to some music on an mp3 player hooked up to your cigarette lighter?

This means two things: a) Someone rolled back your speedometer at some point, at least seven years' worth of mileage, and b) your car's not Y2K compatible, and it just ticked over to the year 2000. You'll probably need to take it to your authorized service center, or a witch doctor.
